Second Birthday and the Zoo

Here are a handful of pics from Rayna's second birthday.
Again, hard to believe how fast time is flying...

I would like to open this present next...

Am I cute or what?!
My special day = my special plate.
I also got to eat what I wanted to... mac & cheese and hot dog!
Beautiful!
Taking a picture next to my tree. :)
Reading in my tent with my friends Brooklynn and Brighton
I got a new car for my birthday. I have figured out the accelerator pedal just fine.
"Bet you can't catch me, mommy!"
Mom & Dad say I have a habit of looking in the wrong direction though.
We went to Indianapolis this weekend to visit with family.
Here's a pic from the drive.
Took a day to visit the Indianapolis Zoo with Grandpa Kevin, Grandma Liz, and Aunt Lauren.
I like turtles. :)
A little bored on the drive home...hiding under the newspaper!

Here's the video we put together highlighting Rayna's second year.
Hard to believe how much she's grown up over the last year!

Hodge Podge of Pics since Christmas

Start at the bottom of this post and work your way up...
if you want to see them in chronological order. :o)

We had spaghetti for dinner the other night, followed by
chocolate pudding for dessert. I was a mess...but loving it!
I love reading books in my tent that Santa brought me.
Playing with my flash cards always has to include
being inside a laundry basket. Weird, I know!
We made play-doh one day during Christmas break.
This is me at my art table that I got from Grandma and Grandfather Gores.
Tub fun with my cousin Eli ("Lie Lie")Reading books with my Grandfather.
Eli and I loved playing in the tent. Don't you love my hair-do too!
The three muskateers at Christmas dinner.

Kiddie Academy Christmas Party

We had a party at the daycare center yesterday - here a few of the highlight pics.

Putting my own gloves on...
My assistant teacher Teri.

My lead teacher Maggie.
Getting my face painted by the elf. I was not at all interested in visiting Santa here either.
Stuffing my face with a cookie, waiting in line to see the elf. :)
Wearing the Santa hat I made.

Running to go play with my friends.
Decorating a cookie with Mom.

I was excited to see Mommy when she got here!

Final Pumpkin

Never got around to posting pictures of the completed Elmo pumpkin...

Dropping him off at the annual Sycamore Pumpkin Fest Decorating Contest.
Giving Elmo a hug.

A Month Has Passed

Wow! Hard to believe it's been over a month since we've added any new pics or videos. Time is flying by like crazy -- Rayna's vocabulary is growing and her inquisitiveness is continuing to show itself anywhere and everywhere. While we've entered the phase of occasional small tantrums, just about every minute is total joy and we wouldn't trade them for anything! Here are several pictures from the last month or so...

I love, love, love playing with my blocks and building "towers".
I'm not supposed to be in the basket?

Reading Irma Rombauer's classic 'The Joy of Cooking'. 1,100 pages of culinary genius.
More towers! (Dad helped with this one...I help with the demolition.)
Wearing Daddy's sunglasses.
Grandfather and me helping mom and Grandma decorate the tree.
Mom & me putting some ornaments on.
Playing with my new Little People nativity set I got from my cousin Cara.
"Open presents?" is one of my new favorite questions to ask.
Not too sure about this guy.
This is more like what it was like. "Mommy!?"
Playing Towers with Mamaw Liz & PaPaw
I got a new rocking horse for Christmas - LOVE it!!
