I'm walking

...well, maybe I get a little help. But still, I've got the one-foot-in-front-of-the-other thing down pat. :o)

First week at Day Care

This was a big week for Rayna as it was her first week at day care -- Kiddie Academy. I'm pretty sure it was harder for Kevin and I than it was for her. She had a great week and seems to enjoy being there. :o)

She had her 4 month doctor appointment. She is weighing in at 14 lbs, 12 oz and 25 inches long! She's grown so much since she was born. This rice cereal in her bottles to help with the acid reflux is sure helping her to grow too. :o)

4 Months Old!

Can you believe that Rayna is 4 months old?!? We can't. The time sure has flown by.

Here are some pictures from this week...

My Grandpa Kevin, Grandma Liz, and Aunt Lauren came to visit for the weekend. We had a fun time together. This is a picture of Lauren feeding me. :o)

Right now I'm learning how to take my paci out of my mouth on my own. Mom and dad sorta go crazy because I take it out when I want to be sucking on it; but they're also impressed with my ability to put it back in.

Am I adorable or what?!

Mom and dad moved my swing downstairs so that I could play in it while they watch me and work on other things; but I decided I'd rather fall asleep in it than play!

This is one of my favorite games - pulling mommy's hair. They were trying to take pictures of me today, but I decided I didn't want my picture taken and that I would rather pull on mom's hair.

Check me out - sunglasses and cute shoes!

What are you lookin' at?!

Lots of new friends

We've had a fun week. Rayna met some new friends and had some fun new adventures. It's hard to believe that Rayna will be 4 months old on Monday!

These are Rayna's friends Tyler and Ava. They were both born in January. Their moms work at Awana with Kevin and I.

Daddy and Rayna snuggling in bed on Saturday morning. :o)

Her bikini (that her Aunt Emily bought her) finally fits. It was a beautiful day on Sunday, so we had a little photo shoot. :o)

Kevin put her entertainer together and she played in it for the first time this week. She wasn't quite sure what to think of all the new things to look at and play with.

This is Rayna's friend Jo Isaac (they both slept for most of the time they were together). Jeremy, Jenny, and Jo Isaac were on a trip in IL and stopped to have dinner with us on Monday night.

Rice cereal seems to be doing the trick...

So, it's been a week since my mom and dad started adding rice cereal to my formula to help with the acid reflux. It seems to be working because I feel much better, am spitting up less, and am generally much happier!

This week I've been chattering more and I'm even making little zerbert noises. :o)

I got to see my Grandma Jean over the weekend. We had fun together. She even got to watch me on Monday while my mom and dad went to work.

Fast asleep after playing hard with Ms. Melissa.

I'm fascinated with seeing myself in mirrors!

Playing with my rubber ducky in the tub.

I'm really good at fitting my fists in my mouth.

We've had some really nice weather this week. Mom & Dad decided to take me for a walk in the stroller like a big girl (sitting in the stroller rather than the car seat). It was fun to look around at everything.

More fun on my tummy. :o)

This week's update

Today was a big day for us - Rayna started with rice cereal in her bottle. She's been acting irritable lately so we had a visit with the pediatrician who thinks she's got acid reflux acting up. So, we're trying the cereal addition into her bottle to thicken it up - hopefully that cuts down on the reflux. Here are some pics from this week's fun...

I was having fun rolling over with mommy today - I wouldn't stay on my tummy at all!

Finally the stupid reflux stopped that I could cozy up and get some sleep.

Grama P and me at the Cruise Night in Sycamore. Mom & Dad walked me all around a bunch of classic cars and said I couldn't have one.

Most times I LOVE bathtime. I'm smiling at mommy and holding on to my washcloth.

Grama let me try a lick of her sucker while Auntie Janet was holding me.

My cousin Dessa and me in the back of her daddy's truck. It was her 1st birthday. Mom & Dad said I can't have a truck either...I'm too little.

Even though I look scared out of my mind, I really do like riding on Daddy's shoulders.
