A week of fun with Mom & Dad

My mom and dad were off work this past week, and so we went on many fun adventures...from swimming, to biking, to hiking, to playground, ice cream, and many things in between. We had a wonderful time together!

Happy 4th of July!
I helped mom and dad water the new plants we planted.
I love sticking my hands in the water!
This is the bike trailer that I get to
ride in when we go for bike rides.
We went to Naperville and walked on the River Walk one day.
Even though it was a little cool, we had a fun time.
On the playground in Naperville.
We made a stop at Barnes & Noble too.
I had fun sitting there while mom and dad read me some books.

We visited a newer park in Sycamore.
Melissa, Ben and Elwood came with us.
Today we went and explored a
forest preserve in Hampshire. We didn't stay too long though
because the mosquitos were nasty! I had fun riding in my backpack ride. :o)

Am I cute or what?!?

Update - finally!

It's been awhile since our last post. Rayna is becoming a bit more chatty as the days go by. Some of her newest words are "bye bye", "more", "night night", "ball"

This week we're off work and spending time together as a family at home. When Rayna heads back to daycare on July 13th, she'll be moving from the infant room up to the toddler room. It's hard to believe she's already a toddler!

This week held another new adventure in that the pacifiers all "disappeared". ;-) Rayna is adjusting to life without them and is doing pretty well.

Here are a few pics from the last several weeks~

So hungry I could eat a toe!

Kicking back with a cup of milk, patting my friend Joey on the head.

My cousin Dessa pushing me around in her car.

I was helping mom put away groceries, but got distracted by this tall bottle. They say I'm not allowed to have any of that kind of juice.

I LOVE Elmo and puppies. I call them "woof woof"s. :)

Fun couple weeks

Mom & Dad say that over the last couple weeks I'm really starting to seem more like a 'kid' than a 'baby'. I'm walking all over the place and picking up more words. My two new words are "hi" and "Elmo". Here are a few pictures from the last couple weeks...

My crazy hair after bathtime.
Culver's has a great grilled cheese sandwich!
And in case you're wondering, "I'm as cute as a ButterBurger is delicious!"
My first major league baseball game.
That game wore me out!Road trips wear me out!
Out with daddy for a walk by the pond.
Mommy & I went for a walk by the pond, too.
This is my new backpack carrier - which I find to be loads of fun!

Walking and More!

Well, I'm officially walking now. I can take a good dozen-or-so steps before dropping down to my knees to crawl the rest of the way. :) Mom & Dad say they're just amazed by how fast I'm growing. Here's a video of me walking, as well as a few fun pics from the last couple weeks...

Mom reading a book to me...
I was helping with the laundry...
So cute! I can climb in and out of my rocking chair on my own.
Mom & Dad came to say 'goodnight' to me and this is how they found me. I was out cold. Apparently they thought I was too cute to resist taking a picture of.
What? You have a problem with me being in the fridge?

1st Birthday Party

Mom & Dad say it's hard to believe I'm already one year old! They threw a big party for me and even let me eat a cake all by myself. :)

Trip to NC

Mom & Dad took a trip to North Carolina for work and I got to come along. Here are a few pics from that trip:

Taking a bath in the big people tub.

I took my first steps while we were at the Biltmore Estate! I'm still a little nervous about venturing off without using my knees, but I get a two-three steps in before going down.

Mom & me waiting outside the Biltmore House - the largest home in America.

GIANT chair at the children's museum.

Playing with the Legos at the children's museum.

We took a tour of a winery; and I wasn't allowed to sample the wine, but they did let me have some grape juice. Yummy!

Spring Party at School

This week we had a "Spring Party" at school...complete with snacks, crafts, and an Easter egg hunt. Here are a few pictures from that day.

My friend Elijah and I at the Easter egg hunt - mom is putting a broken egg back together while I patiently wait.

Me handing an Easter egg to mom.

Here you go! I'm getting very good at sharing.

Working on decorating my own Easter egg craft with Mom's help.

This isn't from the party, but Mom & Dad thought my hair was hilarious in this picture. I'm sitting on Grama's lap.
